Removing blockages

 

Remove the Turbine head

  • Remove the Turbine head from the extension tube by pressing the release catch on the end of the extension tube.

 

Check the Turbine head openings

  • With the Turbine head removed, check the openings on the tool for blockages and remove if necessary.

 

Unlock the brushbar endcap

NB: Beware of sharp objects when checking for blockages.

  • If you cannot clear an obstruction you may need to remove the brush bar.
  • Use a coin to unlock the fastener marked with a padlock.

 

Remove the brushbar

  • Carefully remove the brushbar and clear any debris.

 

Refit the brushbar

  • Replace the brush bar and secure it by tightening the fastener.
  • Ensure it is fixed firmly before operating the appliance.
  • Re-fit the Turbine head and test the machine.

Check the extension tube, wand handle and hose

  • Separate the extension tube from the wand handle by pressing the release catch on the wand handle.

 

  • Remove the wand handle from the hose by pressing the release catch on the hose.

 

  • Press the release catch and remove the hose from the appliance.

 

NB: Beware of sharp objects when checking for blockages.

  • Check the extension tube, wand handle and hose for blockages; remove as necessary.

 

The cyclone, bin, duct and hose inlet

  • Remove the bin and cyclone assembly.

 

  • Check the cyclone, bin, duct grille and hose inlet for blockages; remove as necessary.

 

The inspection hose

  • To access the flexible inspection hose beneath the clear bin, first remove the clear bin (see above).
  • Unscrew the two Phillips screws on the clear bin locator bracket. (Do not remove any other screws.) Remove the bracket.
  • Firmly twist the flexible inspection hose away from the inlet next.
  • Inspect for blockages and remove as necessary.

 

  • Refit the flexible inspection hose and clear bin locator bracket.

 

Rebuild and test the machine.
